WHAT YOU CAN CATCH
What We Target on Our Trips
Here’s a closer look at the species you may encounter on your trip, along with brief descriptions of what makes each one a prized catch:

Tarpon
Known as the “Silver King,” Tarpon are a favorite among sportfishing enthusiasts. These powerful fish can grow over 100 pounds and are famous for their acrobatic leaps and long fights. We often target Tarpon in channels, around bridges, and in the calm waters of Florida Bay—especially during the evening hours.

Snook
Aggressive, ambush-style predators, Snook are commonly found near mangrove roots, oyster beds, and submerged structure. Their strength and fight make them a thrill to hook, especially when sight-fishing in the backcountry.

Mangrove Snapper
These feisty bottom dwellers are fun to catch and excellent to eat. Found around mangrove edges, deeper channels, and structure, Snapper are often caught on live or cut bait. A great target species for kids and beginners.

Sea Trout
Speckled Sea Trout offer consistent action, especially on cooler mornings. They’re often found in seagrass beds and make for a fun, light-tackle experience.

Cobia
When in season, Cobia cruise the open water and nearshore wrecks. Known for their strength and curiosity, they’re a fun surprise catch on many trips.

Sharks
From Blacktips to Lemon Sharks, these apex predators provide unforgettable action. We often encounter them in the backcountry, and they offer an educational and exciting challenge for thrill-seekers.
